It is a safe, effective, environmentally acceptable chemical blend. Halotron 1 leaves no residue after application and leaves little to no collateral damage on equipment. Halotron extinguishers make great replacements for older Halon extinguishers, which have been banned in Europe and Australia, as well as for all except military use in the U.S. Furthermore, Halotron fire extinguishers have been approved for use in airplane cabins by the FAA and are safe for use in confined spaces, unlike Co2 extinguishers.
